PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION
WHAT IS THE PTA?
As a parent, guardian or teacher of a child or children at Foundation Public School, you are now a member of the Foundation Public School Parent Teacher Association.....
The Association exists to promote goodwill and co-operation between the home and the school. Some of its activities include social and educational events, fund raising and organizing various activity clubs. The Association is run by a committee of parents and teachers. The parent representatives are elected at the Annual General Meeting usually held in September.
WHAT DOES THE ASSOCIATION DO?
Association meetings and events take place two or three times a term. These may be social events or fund raising.
HOW CAN I BECOME INVOLVED?
Dates of forthcoming events and minutes of Committee meetings are posted on the notice-board and on this web site. Your child(ren) will also bring home notes concerning pre-arranged meetings and social functions: PLEASE COME ALONG!
Any member of the Committee will be glad to have your comments - favorable or otherwise - at any time. Suggestions for future meetings and other types of activity are also very welcome.
Nominations for the Committee are made during the Summer Term: if you would like to serve on the Committee, or just get involved and lend an occasional hand, please let an existing member know.
WHY SHOULD I GET INVOLVED?
Above all, remember that this is YOUR Association, and it can only continue to do all the great things which it does if YOU join in!
